A balloon safari in Maasai Mara is an unforgettable adventure that offers a unique perspective of the African savannah. As you soar high above the plains, you’ll have a bird’s eye view of the incredible wildlife and stunning landscapes below.

The experience typically starts early in the morning around 4am before sunrise when you are picked up from your accommodation and taken to the launch site. You’ll have the opportunity to watch the balloon being inflated before climbing aboard the basket with your fellow passengers and your pilot.
As the balloon takes off, you’ll feel a sense of exhilaration as you rise above the trees and begin to get a panoramic view of the vast savannah. The sunrise will slowly begin to light up the sky and the shadows will start to disappear. From high above, you’ll be able to see the herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles as they make their way across the plains, grazing as they go.
The pilot will guide the balloon over different areas of the park, pointing out the various animals and sights below. You may see elephants wandering through the bushes, lions lazing or even, or giraffes browsing on the treetops.
As the balloon continues to drift along, the pilot will look for a suitable landing site. Once a safe location has been found, the pilot will gently guide the balloon down to the ground, where you’ll be met by a ground crew who will assist you out of the basket.
After the flight, you’ll be treated to a traditional bush breakfast, complete with hot coffee and freshly baked pastries. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with your fellow passengers and share your experiences of the flight.
A balloon safari in Maasai Mara is a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with memories that last a lifetime. It’s a unique way to experience the beauty and majesty of the African savannah, and one that is not to be missed if you have the chance to visit this incredible part of the world.
